Linking Shopify to a GOBI sub-account involves two simple steps:
- Make a Custom App in your Shopify Store.
- Connect your Account to Shopify.
Step-1: Create a Custom App in your Shopify Store
Before we establish the connection, we have to build a unique app in your Shopify store. Access your Shopify store and select "Apps" from your dashboard.
Next, select "Develop apps" located at the top of the screen, as highlighted in the image below.
Afterward, click on "Allow custom app development." If you've already enabled this permission, Shopify will take you to Step 1.5.
In the following window, choose "Allow custom app development."
Now, click on "Create an app."
Provide a name for your app (e.g., "Marvel's App"), select your email as the App developer, and hit "Create app."
To set up Admin API integration, click on "Configure Admin API scopes."
Scroll down or use the search function to find "Orders." Ensure you enable at least "read_orders" access.
Similarly, scroll/search for "Products" and enable at least "read_products" access.
Once you've enabled read access for "Orders" and "Products," save the app by clicking the "Save" button in the top-right corner.
After saving, click on "Install app," as shown in the image below.
Click on "Install" in the pop-up, as shown in the image, and now your App is ready to be integrated!
Upon installation, you can find the "Admin API access token" needed for Shopify integration in the API credentials section. Click "Reveal token once" to access the token.
To copy the "Admin API access token," simply click on the clipboard icon.
Step 2: Link Shopify to Your Account
In your Account, navigate to Settings > Integrations and select "Connect" beneath Shopify.
Paste the "Admin API access token" you copied in Step 1.14, input the "Name of your Shopify store," and hit "Connect."
Congratulations, your Shopify integration is now complete! 🎉
