Welcome to our tutorial on creating and customizing a navigation menu for your website or digital funnel!
This step-by-step guide will show you how to add elements such as a navigation menu and a brand logo, customize them, link them to different pages on your site or external sites, and create sub-menus for an organized and user-friendly experience.
- Click on the orange rectangle in the center labeled “+ADD ELEMENT”.
- A pop-up panel will appear on the right side of the screen. Scroll down and click the “NAVIGATION MENU” element.
- The “NAVIGATION MENU” will be placed in the upper center of your screen. Note: this may remove your logo.
- To add the logo back in, select it from the options.
- Scroll down to the left side panel and find “BRAND LOGO”.
- Click the small “IMAGE ICON” and click on your logo.
- Remove the default text in the box where it says “BUSINESS NAME”.
- Adjust the logo size by going to the left panel of your screen and clicking the small “up-and-down arrow”. Change the width and height as needed.
- To remove the white background on your logo, click on the logo, then go to the left panel and look for “BACKGROUND COLOR”. Change it to opaque transparent.
- To make your menu options visible against the black header, change their color to white.
- Scroll through the left panel section to view the sample pages it has automatically added.
- To customize these pages, click the “PENCIL ICON” next to each.
- In the pop-up, click the “GO TO” drop-down and select “GO TO STEP”. Link each menu option to the correct page on your site (e.g., link “Home” to the homepage).
- Decide whether to open the link in a new tab or the same tab, then click “SUBMIT”.
- Repeat steps 12-14 for each page on your site.
- If a page doesn’t link to anything, delete it out.
- Save your changes by clicking “SAVE”, then “OK”.
- To add additional pages, click “+ADD ITEM” and follow the steps above.
- To link to an external site, select “GO TO WEBSITE URL” in the “Go To” drop-down, type in the website URL, decide whether to open the link in a new tab, and click “Submit”. Don’t forget to name the link in the “TITLE” section.
- To create a drop-down menu, click and drag the boxes to the right of your links. You can move them around to reorder them or make them sub-pages.
- Save your changes and preview the site.
