Welcome to this simple, step-by-step tutorial on how to add contacts to your Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. 

This guide will walk you through adding individual contacts and importing multiple contacts, ensuring your database is accurate, comprehensive, and effectively organized for optimized client management.

  1. Open your CRM platform.
  2. Locate and click on “CONTACTS” from the navigation panel.
  3. For adding a single contact:
    • Click on the “ADD CONTACT” button.
    • Fill in the following fields:
      • Name: Input the contact’s name.
      • Email: Add the contact’s email address.
      • Phone number: Input the contact’s phone number.
    • Select the contact type (whether it’s a ‘customer’ or a ‘lead’).
    • (Optional) Set the status to “Do Not Dial” (DND) if required.
    • Click “SAVE” to store this new contact.
  4. To verify the contact has been added:
    • Go back to the “Contacts” section in your CRM.
    • Find your new contact in the list and click on the name.
    • Additional fields will appear which you can fill in for more detailed information:
      • Date of Birth: Input the contact’s date of birth.
      • Contact Source: Indicate where you sourced the contact from.
      • Tags: Add any relevant tags for the contact.
      • Offer: Input any offers associated with the contact.
      • Campaigns: Add the contact to any relevant campaigns.
      • Opportunities: Include any opportunities related to the contact.
    • General Info:
      • Business name: Input the contact’s business name.
      • Address: Input the contact’s address.
    • Additional Info: Add any other information you deem necessary.
  5. To add multiple contacts:
    • Click on “IMPORT CONTACTS“.
